The Greater Rochester Area Tobacco Cessation Center ("GRATCC") in Rochester, NY is funded by the New York State Department of Health and is located in the Department of Community & Preventive Medicine, and the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center. GRATCC serves 5 counties in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, including: Monroe, Seneca, Ontario, Wayne and Livingston counties. Partners include all local tobacco control community coalitions, the Greater Rochester Area Smoking Program, New York State Quitline, and county Departments of Health in participating counties. GRATCC uses evidence-based resources and programs to assist health care providers in the design and implementation of office-based systems that identify and effectively treat tobacco dependence, according to the Department of Health and Human Services Clinical Practice Guidelines. |
