The Greater Rochester Area Tobacco Cessation Center ("GRATCC") in Rochester, NY is funded by the New York State Department of Health and is located in the Department of Community & Preventive Medicine, and the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Partners include all local tobacco control community coalitions, the Greater Rochester Area Smoking Program, New York State Quitline, and county Departments of Health in participating counties. GRATCC will serve 5 counties in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, including: Monroe, Seneca, Ontario, Wayne and Livingston counties. The goals of GRATCC in Year 01 include training the clinicians and entire office staff of 13 clinical facilities (physician offices, mental health and rehab offices) and establish strong referral procedures to local and state smoking cessation services. |
