Folic Acid knowledge and use among undeserved/homeless women
Description:
Project aimed at determining the level of knowledge and use of folic acid in homeless women in two Rochester NY shelters, and afterwards implementing different possible ways of increasing education in this population.
A partnership was created between Strong’s pediatric clinic (AC-6) and the Rochester Fire Department to have free smoke and carbon monoxide detectors supplied and installed to lower socioeconomic families.
UR Well Homeless Outreach will extend the role of the UR Well Student Outreach project to allow medical students the opportunity to work with Rochester’s homeless population.
